Civil wars: what we (do not) know

Professor Ruggeri is a young yet promising researcher of quantitative methods in international relationships.

He has studied in Genova and Paris and has worked at Amsterdam and Essex University. He is author of several important papers.

This conference is part of a project realized by a group of professors of the Political Sciences Department at the University of Genova.

Can States and their institutions impede or limit internal conflicts? Which are the effects caused by civil wars and terrorism on politics and national institutions in the long term? The increasing instability along Italian and European borders and refugee crisis have highlighted the need for a specific attention to be paid to such issues.
